Body
The human body is one
of the most complex organisms on the planet. It is comprised of 10
intricate systems all working together in harmony to provide vibrant
health. We have been taught by the ancient healers and modern day sciences
that the body is:
- A regenerative
self-healing organism
- A protective
shell for our vital organs
- A means of
locomotion and exploration
- A temple for our
soul/essence
We can divide the
body into two main categories; the structure and the biochemistry.
The body must be
regularly maintained with proper bodywork on the structure. It also
requires proper
regulation of its biochemistry through nutrition in order to maintain its
natural healing abilities. The body's health and healing is dependant
on a constant level of health and fitness, of which many of us have
forgotten or misunderstood this balance. It is fitness that addresses the
musculoskeletal structure, while health that addresses our biochemistry or
internal environment. Many people work on one but not the other, causing
the body to weaken from the outside in, or vice versa from the inside out.
Lets address how we
can balance the structure and our
biochemistry. |
